Tips for New (and Experienced) Players
Target Weak Points
Use your Focus to scan machines and identify weak components. Destroying these can disable attacks or provide valuable resources.
Exploit Elemental Weaknesses
Each machine has elemental vulnerabilities. Fire melts ice armor, Shock stuns most machines, and Acid corrodes heavy plating.
Use Torn-Off Weapons
Many machine weapons can be removed and used against them. Disc launchers and cannons deal massive damage to their former owners.
Stealth is Your Friend
Use tall grass and stealth to get critical strike opportunities. Many machines can be overridden for powerful allies.
Preserve Valuable Parts
Some machine components are destroyed when the machine dies. Remove them first if you need specific upgrade materials.
Apex Hunting
If you kill 2 to 4 normal machines of a single type, then hunt at night, you'll have the highest possible chance of spawning an Apex variant of that machine
